In 2017, I published a collection of short stories about growing up with hearing loss titled Hearing Differently: Growing Up With a Cochlear Implant. Writing that book made me realize that I wanted to have a more active voice in the deaf and hard of hearing community, and to also be a stronger advocate for raising awareness around accessibility.
This blog is a continuation of sorts to Hearing Differently. In my posts, you’ll find lived experiences of growing up and living with hearing loss, as well as my thoughts around accessibility and inclusion. If you want to learn more about me and my hearing loss diagnosis, please click here.
